Goodbye Lenin tells a family story in the context of recent German history. It is one of the several films to deal with the fall of the Berlin Wall and its impact on East and West Germany. Although the fictional story of alex and his mother is central, the film does offer a particular view of life in East and West Germany.

This classic play is part of the Irish language curriculum on the Leaving certificate course catering specifically for secondary school audiences. Synopsis : Ní Ghráda's groundbreaking play explores the hypocracies inherent in Catholic sixties Ireland. Her heroine Máire becomes pregnant by a married man and then attempts to do the impossible and keep her baby.

South Tipperary County Council Arts Office in partnership with the Tipperary Excel Arts and Cultural Centre is hosting a Study Day for Leaving Cert students. This study day is made available as part of the National Gallery of Irelands Schools Programme. The event is provided free to students and teachers and lasts for three hours. This event is open to all leaving cert art students in South Tipperary and as places are limited please book early. Topics covered include: The Renaissance; Impressionism to Cubism; Early Irish Art; Modern Irish Art (1890 - 1960). The talk draws on images from the national collection.

The Armed Eye Film & Theatre Co. are performing a comedy show, “Psycho Spaghetti” for young adults. This is aimed specifically at transition year and leaving cert applied students. This one man comedy is set in a classroom and takes a comic look at how teenagers interact with their world. This show is said to be “Fantastically Funny”!
