The National Archives Collects, preserves and makes available to the public the archival records of the Irish Government and Courts, together with those records of the pre-1922 British Administration in Ireland which have survived in official custody.
The National Library of Ireland Has played an active role in the development of facilities, and in the accessibility of source material, for the researcher interested in genealogy and family research. It provides extensive reference material with the emphasis on material of Irish interest.
